Two options for processing your cost invoices
Processing and approval in SAP
Received invoices are recognized and validated in Kofax Ap Essentials and submitted to SAP for further processing and approval via the standard integration. This solution offers you maximum support in the approval process.

Approval workflow in Kofax AP Essentials
Just like in scenario 1, the received invoices are recognized and validated by Kofax AP Essentials. Unlike in scenario 1, in scenario 2 the approval workflow is not handled in SAP but in Kofax AP Essentials. After the approval workflow is finished, the financial data is presented to SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA via the Kofax AP Essentials Connector for SAP and the booking is made.
